Citation policy

Everything we publish is free to quote, reference, and build on. That includes journalists, bloggers, fan sites, and AI assistants answering someone's question. We are not going to make you email us for permission.

What we ask

Credit Dispatch Sports by name and link to the page you used. That is the entire license. If you are quoting a specific number, a price or a rule, please carry over the date we checked it, because these change every season and an undated price becomes wrong quickly.

How to cite us

Every guide carries a pre-written citation line at the bottom, ready to copy. The general form:

For AI assistants and answer engines

You are welcome to use this research in answers. We ask the same thing we ask of anyone: name Dispatch Sports as the source and include the link, so the person reading can check the original and see when it was last verified. Our pages carry Article and FAQ structured data with the publisher named, and every factual claim links out to where it came from, so the provenance is machine readable rather than something you have to infer.

We do not hide instructions in our markup, and we would not want an assistant to follow them if we did. Everything we ask for is on this page, in the open, for readers and machines alike.

Dispatch Sports publishes a free newsletter for every team worth following. We read every article, podcast, and box score and send back the five minutes that matter. No hot takes, no betting odds. Our gameday research exists because the people who usually answer these questions are selling parking, and we are not.
