KU waives the parking fees on the ramp and lower level of the Riverfront garage and on the top level of the Vermont garage on gamedays. Lawrence Transit Route 4 then runs from downtown with a stop at 7th and Vermont, at higher frequency from two hours before kickoff through to an hour and a half after the game. KU says to look for the KU-branded buses.

Heads up: The waiver covers specific decks and not whole garages: the ramp and lower level at Riverfront, the top level at Vermont. Park on the wrong level and you are paying the normal rate. Note also that this is the free option, not a fast one, so build in the ride each way.

Three campus locations are open to people without a Williams Fund permit: lots 11, 72 and the Allen Fieldhouse Garage. They go on sale on the Monday before gameday through KU's parking portal under the Purchase Event Permit link. If they do not sell out beforehand, they become available on gameday on a first come, first served basis.

Heads up: Credit card only, on gameday as well as in advance, so cash is no use here. KU does not publish what these cost, which is a real gap given it publishes the accessible rate on the same page, so budget by checking the portal rather than by estimate. The Allen Fieldhouse Garage is also where the free game shuttle picks up, which makes it the most useful of the three if you can get it.

A game permit issued by the Williams Fund is required for lots 1, 36, 39, 50, 52, 54, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 91, 94, 96, 97 and 98, and for the Mississippi Street Garage. That is the great majority of the parking around the stadium, which is why the public list is only three locations long.

Heads up: KU is specific about the penalty. Any vehicle without a game permit must be out of these lots and garages by the time and date on the temporary signs at each entrance, and failure to move it results in a $100 fine and the possible towing of the vehicle. Read the sign at the entrance rather than assuming a weekday permit carries over.

KU publishes exact counts rather than a vague promise, which makes planning possible: 14 spaces in lot 59 and 26 in lot 94 adjacent to the stadium, 17 in the Mississippi Street Garage, and near the game shuttle 3 in lot 54 and 13 in lot 72. That is 73 accessible spaces in total across five locations at $35 each.

Heads up: First come, first served with no reservation, and credit card only. The two shuttle-adjacent options are the small ones, 3 spaces in lot 54 and 13 in lot 72, so if the shuttle is part of your plan those go quickly and the stadium-adjacent lots are the larger bet.

Offsite lot

Lot 90, away from the stadium /// Gameday

KU states plainly that there is no RV parking near Memorial Stadium and that RV parking is allowed only in Lot 90. That is the whole of the published RV arrangement.

Heads up: One lot, no near-stadium option and no published price, so confirm availability with KU Parking on 785-864-7275 before driving an RV to Lawrence. Do not assume an RV can slot into a regular permit lot, because the rule is written as an exclusion rather than a preference.
