This is the cheap answer and it is half the price of the Gamecock Park field next door. South Carolina sells it on gameday at the gate, first come first served, provided it has not sold out in advance, and it is credit card only like every other lot here. It sits at the end of National Guard Road.

Heads up: Two conditions attach. It only goes on sale at the gate if the advance inventory did not sell out, so on a big game it may simply not be available and you should check the single game sales page before you leave. And National Guard Road between Bluff Road and the last Gamecock Park entrance is an enforced no parking zone, so the road you drive in on is not somewhere to leave the car if the lot is full.

Gate 6 off Assembly Street, then a walk to the stadium /// Five hours before kickoff, or 8 a.m. for a noon kick, whichever is later

The South Carolina State Fairgrounds sits across from the stadium and takes the overflow, at $50 through Gate 6 off Assembly Street. It is also where the university sends RVs and buses, and where the reserved accessible spaces are. Police advise approaching on I-77, reachable from both I-26 and I-20, and if you are coming south from downtown to use one of the two right lanes of Assembly Street as you approach.

Heads up: The Fairgrounds has only temporary restrooms, unlike Gamecock Park which has permanent ones too, which matters across a six hour tailgate. Assembly Street also flips after the game: all its lanes are given over to traffic coming from the stadium, so getting back the way you came is not how it works.

Gamecock Park is the main tailgating ground and its gameday field is the most expensive of the three lots at $60. It buys you two things: the location, and an extra hour, because Gamecock Park gates open six hours before kickoff while everything else opens five. Entry is the back gate off Gamecock Park off National Guard Road.

Heads up: Tents are restricted here in a way they are not elsewhere. In Gamecock Park they may only go in designated tent zones, and they are not allowed between the knee walls on the Garnet Way without university approval. Everywhere on campus a tent is capped at 10 feet by 10 feet, has to fit inside your own parking space, and is supposed to come down before you head into the stadium, with unattended tents subject to removal.

East side of Assembly Street, and Gate 12 off Rosewood Drive /// Gameday

Gameday RV parking runs through the South Carolina State Fairgrounds rather than the athletics department, on the east side of Assembly Street and at Gate 12 on Rosewood Drive. Buses use the same Gate 12 entrance and are taken first come first served. Utility trailers are allowed in any university lot as long as you hold a pass for the vehicle and a separate pass for the trailer.

Heads up: The university does not publish an RV or bus price, so we cannot give you one and will not estimate. The Fairgrounds handles it directly on 803-799-3387, and that call is worth making before you drive, because bus space is first come first served rather than reserved.

This is worth knowing in advance because the default answer is no. South Carolina only sells accessible parking as a season pass, and Gamecock Club members must send a copy of a state issued placard to buy a reserved space. The exception is roughly 50 gameday reserved spaces held in the Fairgrounds at $50, entered at gate 6 off George Rogers Boulevard. Shuttles pick up near row 10 of the White section and run to the north corners of the stadium. In Gamecock Park they collect at Quad 3 and Quad 1 and drop at the stadium until 90 minutes before kickoff, after which the drop moves to just outside The Gates on Bluff Road near the Garnet Way.

Heads up: The university says plainly that both pedestrian and vehicle traffic are extremely heavy after the game and shuttle waits may be extensive. Return service starts with five minutes left in the game and runs until nobody is left waiting. Seats are meant for the person who needs them plus one attendant, so a larger group should not plan to ride together.
