Lumen Field has the deepest transit options of any stadium in this project, and it needs them, because both on-site lots are presold on a season basis with no single-game availability at all. So the honest starting point is that you aren't parking on site. What you get instead is excellent: two light rail stations nearby, dedicated Sounder game trains from Lakewood and Everett arriving a football field from the stadium, ferries from Bainbridge and Bremerton landing blocks away, express buses stopping within three blocks, and roughly 15,000 parking spaces across downtown Seattle if you do drive. No free parking could be verified anywhere in walking distance, which is unsurprising for a stadium wedged into downtown Seattle, so cheap here means a fare or a ferry rather than a free space.

When to get there
Since on-site parking isn't available to single-game buyers, your arrival planning is really about your chosen route. Sounder game trains and ferries run to fixed schedules, so those set your timing rather than the other way around. If you're driving downtown, check whether T-Mobile Park next door has an event the same day, since that tightens the whole SoDo parking market.
Getting out after
SoDo empties onto a small number of routes and downtown Seattle traffic does the rest. This is the strongest argument for the train or the ferry: both are moving while the garages are still queuing. If you drove, parking further north in downtown rather than right beside the stadium usually gets you out faster.
Tailgating rules
With both on-site lots presold seasonally and the stadium sitting in a dense downtown-adjacent neighborhood, Lumen Field isn't a lot-tailgating venue in the way Kansas City or Green Bay are. The Seahawks don't publish tailgating rules on their transportation page.
What SoDo has instead is the surrounding neighborhood, with bars and restaurants within walking distance of the stadium and of both rail stations. If a lot tailgate is what you came for, confirm current policy directly with the venue rather than assuming, since we couldn't confirm any published rules.
